Flying high

Poynton Show was first held in 1885 and is still a big attraction today. For the past few years the show has been attended by Jim McTaggart, a stunt pilot who amazes the crowd with his daring displays in a Starduster Too biplane.

In 2010 I attended Poynton Show and enjoyed watching one of Jim McTaggarts displays. The weather had been very unpredictable with heavy showers throughout the day but fortunately the sun broke out at just the right moment. I was delighted to recently receive an e-mail from Jim asking if he could purchase one of the images I captured during the display. The photograph shows Jim flying his biplane, G-Jlll into a Loop while releasing a smoke trail.
